Knitting: Dusty Lavender Sweaters Encore

Scarlett is still waiting for a sweater knit just for her. Truth be told, she isn't aware there is one for her on my list, nor does she have the vocabulary to discuss it. But I am certainly anticipating it. In the meantime she is looking very nice in another sweater originally knit for Audrey.

And Tess is holding her own in one created for Scarlett.

So nice to have another payoff without putting in more work!

These sweaters are so lovely!! Your girls also model them well!!! Did you use a specific pattern or make up as you go???

@Bella: Thanks! I used a Debbie Bliss pattern. You can click through the links in the post to see the original posts about these sweaters with all of the details. I wish I could make up things like this as I go! Maybe some day....

Hi! I love your blog and love your beautiful daughters and handmade clothing for them. It is so like my lovely daughter-in-law's style, so classic, and she wants to start having children soon, so love all the great ideas! I wanted to ask you: I want to crochet the Mia earflap hat for an upcoming (soon!) baby shower. I am a very beginner crocheter, although I have my dil to help. Is this hat something a beginner should attempt? Mona

Beautiful sweaters and the color is perfect for both of your daughters. I have to add, your daughters are just adorably precious.

@ M.: The Mia earflap hat is so cute, isn't it! You should definitely give it a go. I think it is appropriate for a beginner. The earflaps are a bit more tricky than straight crochet (or crocheting in the round as this is done) but if you hvae any questions you should definitely contact the pattern designer at Jilted Ballerina (I link to her in the post) as she has fabulous tutorials. Good luck with fun things for your DIL's future babies! Nothing is more fun that making for a new baby! -Anneliese

What sweet little ones. Your sweaters are lovely as well, but they are overshadowed by your beautiful children :-). Have a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary

I just told my DIL I'm pulling a sweater out of my attic that was originally made for her husband (my son). I'll get to see my grandson wear it maybe next fall. That is fun, huh?
Your girls and work are just right up my alley. Good job.

Beautiful sweaters; beautiful babies!

Makes me think of the little song:

Lavender blue, dilly dilly,
Lavender green
If I were king dilly dilly,
you'd be my queen...
