Knitting: Ribbed Neck Debbie Bliss Sweater in Dusty Lavendar

I finished this sweater for Audrey while we were vacationing in San Diego. It helped to be out of town so I could use naptime and bedtime for a little knitting (instead of cleaning, cooking, whatever!). I love the dusty lavendar color. Purple is Audrey's favorite color.

This pattern is from the Debbie Bliss Special Knits book--it's the cover pattern. I absolutely LOVE Debbie Bliss. All her designs are so classic and british. But they also usually involved smaller yarns and needles (read: time consuming) so I picked a pattern that called for a worsted weight yarn. It actually came together more quickly than I expected, not too bad at all.

I found this yarn at Knit Picks while searching online for a deal. This is from their MainLine collection, and I love it! It is part Pima cotton and part Merino wool and so soft. Perfect for Fall through Spring. I have a few skeins left over--return or come up with something else to knit?

The ribbed neck seems like it will be so cozy. I need to look for a pin to close it occassionally, but I think it will be really cute open too. I hope Audrey will wear this often and love it. I think it's one of my more professional looking projects and I seem to be knitting faster! Hooray!
