(See my post on Gauge here: http://www.aestheticnest.com/2013/03/how-to-crochet-11-understanding-gauge.html ) You could try going up one hook size and see if that results in a chain of the right length. Or you could add more chain stitches until you get to 27". Just be sure the count is divisible by 3. I'm guessing if you stick with the same hook you may need to chain about 78. I hope that helps! I used a 9mm hook and category 4 yarn (Patons Canadiana) just like you but still it came out on the small side. I plan on making one for myself and I was wondering if adding another 20 chains (from 60 to 80) would work or will that affect the pattern? I thought that as long as I stayed with an even number of chains it would be okay. I'm also going to try and use the Waverly yarn you used and see if that makes a difference!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2611352990646835361.post-10419119526238414722012-11-04T19:36:28.582-07:002012-11-04T19:36:28.582-07:00Just finished my first in black/hot pint turned ou...Just finished my first in black/hot pint turned out amazing. I'm working up a few of these real quick for gifts and I'm using a chunky, fuzzy yarn instead of 2 worsted weight (it's called Charisma by Loops & Threads; I found it on sale at Michaels and it's really soft)- so far it seems to work really well with your pattern too.
