I developed The Bateau Neck Dress pattern extension so quickly on the heels of The Bateau Neck Top pattern that I needed a super fast bunch of testers. So I turned to some of the Bateau Neck Top testers to see if they wanted to give it another go. I was so happy they said "yes!" I thought it would be great to see what they thought of the dress and sleeve options and knew they could work quickly since they were already familiar with the base pattern. And just look what they created--so cute!
These first two photos are by Jen of Lea and Lars. She sewed a pair of Bateau Neck Elastic Waist Dresses. I just love seeing those cute sisters in coordinating dresses! And she didn't stop there, she made a "hotchpotch" Bateau Neck A-Line Dress with elbow length sleeves too. Wow. You can see more here.
Ellen of Ellzabelle took the Bateau Neck A-Line Dress with hip pockets and added a great embellishment--bows on the elbow length sleeves. Such a great Hollywood look! I love this lace fabric--and those pearls! View all the details of this take here.
Shifrah of See Mommy Doing chose the a-line version of the dress as well, but with short sleeves. I love this star fabric. It's a sweatshirt weight so it will be great for transitioning to Fall. And she embellished it with a gathered pocket and a touch of pink. Super cute--check it out here.
Ana Sofia of S is for Sewing makes such classic-looking clothes. I love her version of the Bateau Neck Elastic Waist Dress. The stripes are perfect. And did you catch the cute contrasting faux tie? I love that touch. Read her post on sewing this dress here.
Thanks so much to these great pattern testers for helping ensure the quality of this pattern!
